Sole Treadmill Brand Reivew / Guide

by Johnny on November 7, 2009

Hello Readers,

I never expected so much response to my treadmill review blog. I thank everyone who wrote me an e-mail and sent in questions! I’m incredibly sorry if I have not had the time to answer your specific question, I just had a psychology test this week and between walking my dogs, keeping up with my exercise routine, and my day job it is really hard to answer everyone in a timely fashion. But, please keep those e-mails coming in and I’ll answer them when I can.

That brings me to my next announcement. I’ve decided to start writing treadmill Brand reviews to provide a starting point for people doing treadmill research. My Treadmill Brand recommendations may be as researched and methodical as my feature-length treadmill reviews, but they should provide the layman with everything he or she needs to make an informed treadmill purchase. Without further ado, here is my Sole Treadmill Brand Review.

Sole Treadmills can be broken down into two categories, folding, or the models that have an F in front of them and stationary, or the models that have an S in front of them. Folding models are generally for home users who want to be able to fold up their treadmill to save space and make room for tea parties or whatever the hell people do these days. The stationary models are generally for commercial use. There are a couple good reasons for that. First, if you run a gym there is no need to fold up a treadmill, particularly in the case of 24-hour gyms. Second, stationary models have fewer parts which means less potential maintenance issues down the road. Third, stationary treadmills are generally more stable than folding treadmills. Better designs and technology have reduced the difference between folding and stationary treadmills to a minimum. The typical user will probably never know the difference between a folding treadmill and a stationary treadmill unless he or she is told about the difference.

Sole F63 Treadmill Review
Rating: 4.5
The Good: Meets or beats competitors in horsepower, speed, incline, and running area; very comfortable treadmill
The Bad: Smooth offers better parts and labor warranties for similarly priced units of the same quality
The Sole F63 Treadmill matches or beats all competitors in terms of horsepower, running area, and incline. Were the Sole F63 Treadmill really shines is in comfort. Sole Fitness manufactures some of the more comfortable treadmills on the market right now. If you tried one out you would have an easy time figuring out why Hilton Hotels decided to supply its chain of hotels exclusively with Sole Treadmills.

Sole F80 Treadmill Review
Rating: 4
The Good: Very comfortable
The Bad: You can get more for less with other treadmill brands
Quality has never been an issue for Sole Fitness. I have personally used every treadmill Sole Fitness has to offer right now and can say that Sole Fitness knows how to make a great treadmill. The problem with the Sole F80 Treadmill is not quality, but value. There are a couple other treadmill is out there that offer more of everything. More horsepower, more running area, more features. If you buy this treadmill you’ll be happy, but you can find a better treadmill for less.

Sole F83 Treadmill Review
Rating: 4.5 / 5
The Good: Comfortable treadmill, high top speed
The Bad: None, meets or beats all expectations
The Sole F83 Treadmill / Sole S73 Treadmill are the same treadmill. The difference is simply one folds and the other does not fold. Sole Fitness does pick up some steam against its competitors, matching horsepower, incline, and warranty. The Sole F63 / S73 Treadmill pulls ahead when it comes to top speed. These treadmills have a top speed of 12 MPH and that is a greater top speed than most other treadmills in this price range.

Sole F85 Treadmill Review
Rating
The Good: Very comfortable, lots of horsepower
The Bad: None; the Sole F85 Treadmill is one of my top picks
The Sole F85 Treadmill is one of the better high in treadmills out there. You have to shell out $2000 for this treadmill, but if you’re serious about losing weight or training for a marathon this is an excellent treadmill to have at your disposal. It’s comfortable and durable!

Well, that does it for my Sole Treadmill Guide. I hope you found what you’re looking for, if not you can always send me an e-mail at treadmillmaster@gmail.com. I’m happy to answer any and all questions about treadmills and elliptical trainers. If you need immediate advice you can check out the rest of my in-depth treadmill reviews and guides.

Sincerely,
John Bravo
