A reader had a question about her tall son and husband. Can I help her? Yes I can! Take it away Sole Searching!
“Based on your reviews, along with many consistent supporting user reviews and in-store tests, I have my treadmill selection narrowed down to the Sole product line. The one thing I can’t decide on is the specific deck length I should get. My wife is 5’4″, I’m 6’0″, and the F80 appears to be a great fit. However, I have a 6’3″ son who’s moving back home after college, for who knows how long thanks to the pathetic job market, and I’m not sure if the F80′s 55″ deck length would be long enough for running. I’d consider moving up to the F83 with a 58″ deck, or possibly even the F85, but would to not spend any more $$ than needed. I’m not sure how long my son would be home using it, depends on the economy to a large degree, but would appreciate your thoughts about the required deck lengths for moderate running.”
Hello Sole Searching,
So, you have a house with three people who will be using a single treadmill and you’re all different sizes. Hmmm, seems like a challenge to me. One I’m up to!
Sounds like you’ve really been doing some ruminating Sole Searching, something I encourage everyone do before they spend several hundred or several thousand dollars on a treadmill. There is one other treadmill I highly recommend from a company I trust, the Smooth 6.75 Treadmill. It is a great piece of fitness equipment and perhaps one of the better values out there this fitness buying season. The Smooth 6.75 Treadmill has what I like to call a “full sized running area” which means the Smooth 6.75 Treadmill has a 20” x 60” running area. The
Smooth 6.45 Folding Treadmillis your best bet for cheap and large! Also, check out the Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill
, it also has a full sized running area and costs about a hundred bucks less.
I hope this answers your question, if you have anymore send ‘em my way again! treadmillmaster@gmail.com
