Hello Readers,

Elliptical Trainer Review: NordicTrack E5 VI Elliptical Trainer
Elliptical Trainer Rating: 3.5/5 for average features and specifications, slightly off balance frame
Price: $599

I highly recommend the Schwinn 420 Elliptical

It is time to review more colorful elliptical trainers I tested out when I went to Sears this morning. Welcome to my NordicTrack E5 VI Elliptical Trainer review. You’ll be able to easily spot the NordicTrack E5 VI Elliptical Trainer when you walk in Sears because it’s probably going to be the brightest thing you’ll see. The rear wheel drive of the NordicTrack E5 VI Elliptical Trainer is painted a very bright orange. I have a lot more to say about the NordicTrack E5 VI Elliptical Trainer than it has really bright colors. I’m ready to share all of those things right now!

When I tested out the NordicTrack E5 VI Elliptical Trainer the motion was very smooth considering the $600 price tag; in fact the smoothness of this elliptical is above average for the price range. However, I did feel a slight wobble, but that’s to be expect from elliptical trainers from under $600 price range. The wobble can probably be fixed with a little paper placed underneath the base of the elliptical trainer. Overall, I grade the feel of this elliptical trainer as average to slightly above average.

As far as features and specifications go the NordicTrack E5 VI Elliptical Trainer does have some pretty cool features. The stride length is adjustable from 13 inches to 18 inches. Adjustable stride isn’t something new. However, many companies add an adjustable stride feature as an afterthought and the mechanics are usually terrible. But, NordicTrack seems to have pulled it off and has designed the adjustable stride well enough to be usable.

The NordicTrack E5 VI Elliptical Trainer has built-in weight-loss training programs and if that’s not enough an iFit memory card can be purchased with specially designed workouts designed and narrated by fitness celebrities like Jillian Michaels. I really do like the iFit system and the iFit cards; it’s one of the more innovative features I’ve seen in fitness equipment industry. The NordicTrack E5 VI Elliptical Trainer is also iPod compatible which means that you can plug in an iPod and listen to music without having to put on some headphones. I’m a fan of cutting out as many wires as possible and freeing my head and hands from extra wires during a workout is top notch. To cap it off this elliptical trainer comes with 12 levels of resistance. There are plenty of

Final Analysis

For a $600 I can overlook the slight wobble I felt when using this elliptical trainer. A few well-placed pieces of paper could virtually eliminate any wobble that you may experience on this elliptical trainer. Like many other elliptical trainers from the Icon Fitness family fitness equipment the NordicTrack E5 VI Elliptical Trainer has lots of really cool features that make it stand out from many other elliptical trainers. You get built-in iPod compatibility, access to the iFit system, and an adjustable stride system that actually works well. Overall, this is a very strong showing from NordicTrack.

If you are looking to do a little comparison shopping I also recommend the

Hi,
I really want to get an Elliptical machince and I cannot afford the really expensive ones so I wanted to make a choice between the Proform 390 E Eliptical and the NordicTrack E5 vi Elliptical Trainer between the two which one do you feel is the better machine? I read both of your reviews but I don’t know how important stability is with these machines. A friend said the NordicTrack makes better machines. I don’t know how true that is. I would appreciate your advice.
Thanks
Denise
